I'm glad these four musicians took the opportunity to play and record together. They seem to be listening very carefully to each other. A seamless performance of individuals, yeah. freejazzy

So, with its slowly building, repetitive songs, mostly quite calm, but sometimes and then the more effectively rising into rather raucous territory, I'd like to tag this album as "post jazz". It clearly is jazz but reminds me very much of the post rock easy of doing things. And if the tag post jazz doesn't work for you, make it "minimal jazz" ;-)
"Years" (which, btw, doesn't start calmly) is just amazing! Carsten Pieper

YES! The bass and the drums together with the horn section and a voice and message that goes straight through your spine. What an unbound force! Every track a gem. neltz
